Lennons Circus will be back in Cockburn soon and we will be having demos at 1pm - 2m on Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th, Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th of July - all will be at Dixon Reserve, Hamilton Hill (next to basketball stadium). Also the issue to impose a ban will be before Cockburn Council again on Tuesday 15th July at 7pm, please keep the letters going to council and the local newspapers. Please keep the pressure on Rockingham council as well (even thougth their shows were cancelled due to the weather). They are also trying to get into the City of Perth by "parking" the exotic animals elswhere while they do some shows in Perth with dogs and ponies (non-exotic); let the council know that the Circus can't get around the ban by "not actually bringing exotic animals into Perth" - they are still exploiting animals. The focus of the promotion by Lennons Circus is that they are a "Traditional Circus", as if that gives some justification to their continued exploitation and abuse of animals. If the British Parliament can overturn centuries of "Tradition" and institute a ban on fox (a native animal in England) huntng, surely a local council can institute a ban on another tradition (just a thought for a different approach to the councils stubborn refusal to listen to the public).
