This Sunday, 1st October 2000 is World Animal Day. It is also the official opening of Animal Liberation's new office.

The address is 114 Beaufort St, Perth (see map). official opening is 11.00 am followed by lunch at the Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant ($11.50 all you can eat). These premises will give us a higher public profile and provide easier access for members and supporters. We also believe that we will attract more supporters.

There are still things that need to be done. Over the coming weeks we will have the phones and alarm system installed. We will be needing volunteers to staff the office and shop. It's your office and the only way it can be open for members, supporters and the public is for volunteers to staff it (contact office).

We are sharing the premises with the Humane Society of Western Australia and Blue Moon Video. Blue Moon is a video production company that is co-ordinating the EcoWatch program that we are involved with. This series will go to air on Channel 31 later this year. As a side note; CTV, the major program provider for Channel 31, is moving into premises across the road (next to Perth TAFE). We hope to be producing more programs for airing on Ch 31 as well as producing our own multimedia CD's that can be sent to schools around the state.
